Kienberg Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, issuant from a triplemount Sable two connected horse heads addorsed Gules, issuant from their centre a linden leaf Gules with an embowed stem.
The leaf issuant from a triplemount displays the family arms of the Lords of Kienberger, who lived in the village until the 16th century. The arms are basically those of the Benedictine Seeon Abbey. Peter Kienberger had been its abbot during the 2nd half of the 14th century. The mount is furthermore canting. The horse heads, blazoned as a chess rook, are taken from the arms of the Lords of Herzheim, who lived in the hamlet of Heretsham until the 17th century.
