Tiefenbach Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter parted per bend of Gules and Argent a panther rampant in counterchanged tinctures, at sinister Argent three firs Vert in fess and issuant from base a triplemount of the same.
The panther is taken from the arms of the Sünzl kin from Söldenau, who administrated the Tiefenbach district (Bavarian: Hofmark) as a fiefdom since 1613. They lived in Weideneck Castle near Tiefenbach. They sold the district to the Bishopric of Passau in 1690. Firs and mount are alluding to the location in the Vorwald, a forest and the number of firs and peaks is a representation of the former independent municipalities of Haselbach, Kirchberg vorm Wald and Tiefenbach proper.
