Burgoberbach Coat of Arms

Shield Gules a fess Or, in chief a lion passant guardant Argent, in base a saltire cotised Argent.
The lion is taken from the arms of the Lords of Oberbach, who owned estates in the current municipality in the Medieval. The fess from the arms of the Barons of Crailsheim is representing Niederoberbach and Sommersdorf. The saltire is taken from the family arms of the Counts of Oettingen. They ruled Burgoberbach as vassals of the Bishops of Eichstätt. The tinctures red and silver are referring to the bishopric.
