Description of the Flag

The flag of Bom Retiro is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 329 promulgated in 1072.

The flag is composed of three stripes, green, white and red, arranged horizontally, representing the local landscape, peace, and fraternity. The flag is charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms.

The arms of Bom Retiro are composed of an oval circle charged with two yellow stars in the upper dexter part, which represent the two districts of the municipality. In the lower sinister part, three Brazilian pines, representing the past's great resource, and, for the future, great reforestation organized in the municipality. The oval circle surrounded dexter by a maize plant and sinister by a tobacco plant, representing agriculture, tied in base by a blue scroll inscribed "14 de Janeiro 1923 - Bom Retiro" in black letters. The oval circle surrounded by a golden yellow wall representing the town.
