Description of the flag

"The flag design was put together by the County Clerk's husband, Al Brady in April of 2006. The Clerk then presented it to the Elected Officials at that time and they approved the theme as well as the colors. The peanut represents Bryan County known for their peanut farming, the Flag in the upper right is the State of Oklahoma Flag, the Courthouse located in Durant Oklahoma is in the lower left and cattle for the cattle ranchers of Bryan County is in the lower right. All of these sections are placed on the shape of the State of Oklahoma.

"Bryan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The population was 36,534 at the 2000 census. Its county seat is Durant. The county shares the same boundaries as the Durant Micropolitan Area. It is also home to the headquarters of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma located in Durant. Bryan County consists of 10 Townships: Albany, Bennington, Bokchito, Brown, Caddo, Calera, Colbert, Kemp, Matoy, and Speairs Townships.
