Flag

Located in Kobe City Hyogo Prefecture and established in 1968. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold, blue, sky blue university symbol mark and vertically written gold kanji university name with gold fringe. The symbol mark is designed with a cross in the center of the compass and anchor motif, which is inspired by the international city of Kobe. The shape of the compass also suggests the shape of an academic pen or pencil. The overall shape is based on an equilateral triangle with stability,and is designed to convey a sense of upward movement and future orientation. The two blue colors represent the blue of the sea (intelligence) and the sky (youth).
