Flag

Located in Kanazawa City Ishikawa Prefecture and established in 1955. The college flag is dark brown background with a white emblem in the center. The emblem was adopted on September 7, 1946. At that time, the name of the school was "Kanazawa College of Arts and Crafts," and the center of the school emblem was a mark resembling the character for "工”=craft. The center of the emblem was changed to "大學" when the name was changed to "Kanazawa College of Art". The silhouette of the school emblem combines the character for "美" in the word "fine arts" with the image of the zelkova tree, the symbol of the university.
