Located in Uchinada Town Ishikawa Prefecture and established in 1972. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold and silver emblem and gold fringe. The name also appears on the hoist end. The university flag has dark red background with a gold and white emblem in the center. The emblem is a design of a leaf and fruit of "citrus tachibana". The origin of the emblem is based on a legend in Biographies of the Deities and Immortals, in which the word "citrus tachibana and well water" came to be used to mean "doctor". The university adopted this citrus tachibana leaf as its emblem to express its hope and pride in fostering good doctors who can heal all people.
