Flag of Lupoglav

The symbols of Lupoglav are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Lupoglav, adopted on 28 June 2000 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 25 July 2007 in the Town of Pažin official gazette Službene novine Grada Pažina, No. 8 (text).

The flag is described in Article 7 of the Decision:

The flag of the Municipality of Lupoglav is rectangular, in ratio of length (height) to width 2:1, and is made of silk, satin, that is of polyester or of cotton material.
The field of the flag is coloured red derived from the colour of the shield of the coat of arms, and it is edged with a 2 cm wide stripe coloured golden. Along all the edges of the flag, except that which is used for hanging or hoisting on the staff is a 6 cm wide fringe, also coloured golden.
In the middle of the flag, at the crossing point of the diagonals, there is the coat of arms of the Municipality of Lupoglav as described in Article 4 of this Decision. The height of the coat of arms is 2/3 of the flag's height.

The coat of arms is described in Article 4 of the Decision:

The coat of arms of the Municipality of Lupoglav is in the shape of a stylized shield.
In the regular shield coloured red with the edge coloured golden there is a depiction of the Antique Roman deity Janus. It is a deity of doors and passes and the protector of peace. Around the depiction of the two-headed deity of anthropomorphic character there is in a circle a snake biting its tail, as a symbol of constant change of eternity. The depiction of the deity and the snake is expressed in golden colour.
Around the shield there is the edge of golden colour.

Ceremonial flag of Lupoglav

The ceremonial flag is a vertical dark red flag with seven rectangular tails, all bordered golden, with the coat of arms in the middle and the name of the municipality above and below it. The sources does not provide a quite clear view of the flag, so the above drawing is partially my interpretation.

Former symbols of Lupoglav

The former symbols of Lupoglav are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Lupoglav, adopted on 14 December 1994 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 28 December 1994 in the local official gazette Službene novine Grada Pažina i Općina Cerovje, Gračišće, Lupoglav, Motovun, Sv. Petar u Šumi i Tinjan, No. 14 (text).
There is no mention of such symbols in any of the subsequent Municipality Statutes, neither was this Decision invalidated.

The flag is described in proportions 2:1 (vertical), dark blue, with a 2 cm golden border all around and a 6 cm fringe along it as well. The coat of arms is set in the centre of it, of 2/3 of the flag's height in height.

The coat of arms is described to be in stylized shield shape, showing in a light blue field on a green mount a castle with four towers connected with walls, all with red roofs. In the base is a silver wall with a red roof connected with an angle to the right tower. In the frontal wall connecting two towers are double doors with a semi-circular top. Over the castle to the left is raising a silver cliff. The shield is bordered golden.
