Introduction

The municipality of Villabuena del Puente (821 inhabitants in 2009; 2,614 ha) is located 40 km from Zamora.

Description

The flag and arms of Villabuena del Puente are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 14 December 2006 by the Municipal Council, signed on 15 February 2007 by the Mayor, and published on 28 February 2007 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 42, p. 4,246. The symbols are described as follows:

Municipal flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of two equal vertical stripes, at hoist red with a five-arched white bridge masoned in black at hoist, at fly horizontally divided in seven stripes in turn blue and white.

Coat of arms: Per fess, 1. Argent a village gules, 2. Azure a five- arched bridge argent masoned sable, in base waves argent and azure. The shield surmountedwith a Royal crown closed.
