Description

Vertically nine-striped flag, yellow-red-etc., with a centred white tower, with black gate and windows, as high as 86% of the flag's height and as wide as 26% of the flag's length.

The flag is a banner of the arms (blazoned Or, four pallets Gules, a tower Argent with gate and windows Sable). The tower (torre) is canting and the stripes are a reminder of the former jurisdiction of the kings of Aragon, who were at the same time barons of Torroella de Montgrí. Flag adopted 27th January 1995. Source for image and text: Fluvià 2001.
