Description

Light blue flag. On the canton two black towers, with light blue gate and windows, each as high as 1/4 of the flag's height and as wide as 1/21 of the flag's length, separated also by 1/21 of the flag's length. Over them three eight-pointed white stars [arranged 1,2], each inscribed in an imaginary circle of diameter 1/21 of the flag's length, the topmost one placed at 1/28 [of the flag's height] from the flag's top and 1/7 [of the flag's length] from the hoist, the other two one over each tower, separated from the latter by 1/28 [of the flag's height]. The whole [towers and stars] within an imaginary square canton as wide as half the flag's height.

The flag is a banner of the arms (blazoned Azure, two towers Sable, gate and windows of the field, surmounted by three mullets of eight points placed 1,2 Argent), albeit with the charges very offset to the canton. Both the towers (torres) and the stars (estrelles) are canting. Flag adopted 3rd July 1997. Source for image and text: Fluvià 2001.
