Introduction

In the province of Alicante, there are several municipalities that have the Aragonese colours (yellow flag with four red stripes) with the municipal CoA in the center. The municipality of Pedreguer (29,57 km² and 7.480 hab., 2008) is located in the comarca of Marina Alta.

Descripción

«Escudo cuadrilongo de punta redonda. En campo de oro, un montículo pedregoso, de su color, sosteniendo una torre con una almena asolada, también de su color, en la parte superior de la torre la señera real, con el asta en vertical. Al timbre, corona real abierta.»

Fundamentos

"Escudo donde se han intercalado elementos parlantes: el montículo, con los históricos: el castillo y las armas reales."

"Description:

Rectangular shield with rounded point. In a gold field, a rocky mound proper, supporting a tower with damaged battlements, also proper, on the upper part of the tower the royal Senyera on a vertical staff. Surmounted by a royal open crown."

Derivation:

The shield intersperses canting elements (the mount), with historic ones (castle and royal arms)."
