The Flags

Aspect ratio of the flag from 2006: 2:3, from 2010: 3:5
The symbol was changed in 2010 by removing the wreath of ears, cutting the gear in half and showing it in red in the lower part, and a papyrus and an ear of wheat growing out of yellow sand at the top.
This symbol in a slightly darker blue was declared the new governorate flag on August 19, 2010.

The center of the 2006 flag is a yellow gear wheel surrounded by a yellow wreath of ears of corn.
