His Personal Flag

     António is a consistent and prolific contributor to FOTW and what he lacks in tact, he more than makes up for in passion and enthusiasm for his subject. He has been called FOTW's "unofficial" critic and policeman, but he is a unrelenting force of nature, and his desire to make FOTW, and the scholarship behind it, the best that it can be, is unquestioned. António is a person who truly sees issues in either black or white, and has little patience with shades of grey.
     In the Citation for VOTY 2005, António is described "[a]s former list master, tireless critic, and precise editor, he has done more than any other to promote the quality of the FOTW website."
