Coat of Arms

Shield Argent; issuant from base a wall Gules masoned Sable, flanked at dexter by a tower of the same; issuant from wall a throughout cross Sable.
Meaning:
The cross is taken from the arms of the Abbey of Fulda. Wall and tower might represent the famous local fortified graveyard (German: Wehrfriedhof) from the early 12th century.
The arms were approved on 25 May 1971.
