It is a red-white-red vertical triband with ratio of stripes approx. 1:4:1. The red stripes are divided by a thin white line each. The coat of arms is shifted to the top within the central stripe.

Coat of Arms

Shield Gules parted by a facetted saltire Argent, the above quarter is charged with a wolf trap Argent, the other quarters with a lozenge Argent.
Meaning:
The wolf trap is taken from the arms of the Lords of Frankenstein. The lozenges are taken from the arms of the Lords of Wallbrunn. The saltire is taken from the arms of Neutsch.

The lion is a modification of the arms of the Counts of Katzenelnbogen.
