Grafschaft Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Or a demi lion issuant Sable, armed and tongued Gules, beneath Sable three annulets Or ordered 2:1.
Meaning:
The upper half is a differentiation of the family arms of the Dukes of Jülich, which displayed a complete lion rampant. The dukes ruled the biggest part of the current municipality. The lower half with the annulets (German:Ringe) is canting, alluding to the former Ringen Subcounty (German:Amt), which was transformed to an associative municipality (German: Verbandsgemeinde) at the end of the 20th century.

Flag and banner were approved on 17 January 1984. The arms were approved on 28 July 1937 by governor (Oberpräsident) of the Prussian Rheinprovinz for the Ringen Subcounty.
