Description of the flag

The Village of Montrose, British Columbia, has no official flag. However, the village has an unofficial flag used on occasions when the flag is required. The flag was made in March 2006, and presented to the council, but it was not officially adopted. The flag was designed by (then Councilor) Royce C. Schmidt, who was kind to sent me information and image of the flag. The flag consists of three horizontal stripes of blue-green-red divided by black thin lines. Over it is positioned the village logo, which consists of a rose on a white oval and "MONTROSE (in blue)/BRITISH COLUMBIA (in white)" and scroll with "INCORPORATED 1956".

About the village:
"Montrose is a village located in south-eastern British Columbia in the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary, and has a population of 1012." - from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose,_British_Columbia
