The municipality of Pindorama (15,039 inhabitants in 2010; 18,480 ha) is located 370 km of São Paulo. The municipality is made of the districts of Pindorama (capital) and Roberto, transferred on 30 November 1944 from the municipality of Itajobi.

Pindorama was founded in 1908 by Ferdinando Motta, who purchased from Colonel Firmino de Araújo Aguiar a piece of land located on the right bank of river São Domingos, and founded the Areia Branca estate. At the same time, Engineer Argemiro Silveira purchased a piece of land on the other side of the river. The settlement was originally divided into Areai Branca and Pindorama. The municipality of Pindorama was established by Law No. 2,125 of 31 December 1925, seceding from Santa Adélia, and inaugurated on 21 March 1926.

The symbols of Pindorama are prescribed, without further description, as "a flag, a coat of arms and an anthem established by Municipal Law", in Article 2 of the Municipal Constitution, adopted on 5 April 1990.

The flag is yellow with two green palms surrounding a blue disk charged with the municipal coat of arms.

The coat of arms is "Or three palms vert per bend. The shield surmounted by a mural crown argent ports sable. The shield supported dexter by a branch of coffee and sinister by a plant of maize, the two fructed proper. Below the shield a scroll vert inscribed with the name of the municipality surrounded by two dates, all or."

The coat of arm and the flag are canting, the municipality being named from Tupi-Guarani words meaning "The land of the palms".

The district of Roberto adopted a flag in November 2010. I am not sure that the image presented on the municipal website matches the complete flag. I rather believe that the flag is horizontally divided yellow-white-blue with a white triangle placed along the hoist and charged with the municipal coat of arms.
