About the Flag

The municipality of Realeza (16,960 inhabitants in 2020; 35,342 ha) is located 300 km west of Curitiba.

The flag of Realeza is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 116 promulgated on 10 September 1968.

Article 1.
The flag is composed of two green rectangles interspersed by a white one that contains the coat of arms of the municipality in the center. The shield features in the center a pine tree representing the greatest natural resource of the municipality. On both sides of the shield, a maize branch and a soybean plant representing plant resources. The shield also features a pig on one side of the pine, representing the breeding resources, on the other side a gear representing the municipality's industries. In the background the sun, which is the American symbol, having been honored as the source of life since the most remote Amerindian antiquity by the peoples of the New World, and representing the greatness and culture of ideals and incitement and brilliance of achievement. The shield is surmounted by a crown, symbolizing the Queen of Southwestern Paraná. Beneath the shield date "24-6-1963", which will always remind the date of political and economic emancipation, and "Realeza".
