The symbols of Livno are described in Article 8 of the Municipal Statutes.

The flag is described as follows:

The flag of the Town of Livno is composed of two colors, red and white. The ratio of the width to the length of the flag is 1:2. The background of the flag is red. The length and the width are crossed through their middle horizontally and vertically by white stripes. The width of the stripes is 1/8 of the flag's length. The Town's coat of arms is set in the centre of the flag. The central point of the coat of arms matches the crossing point of the flag's diagonals. The height of the coat of arms in the flag is 1/2 of the flag's width.

The Populari database claims that the arms were adopted in 1998.

The flag is described as follows:

The coat of arms of the Town of Livno is in the shape of a semi-circular shield.
In the heart of the shield, on a blue field (3/4 of the shield), is shown the King Tomislav monument in Livno, set in the vertical axis of the arms. In the right top corner of the shield is a golden crown (triple mount). In the base of the shield, on a green field (1/4 of the shield) are set three dark blue wavy bars (strings) fimbriated with silver. The coat of arms is bordered with a golden line.
